Are BCAAs Really Worth It for Everyday Gym-Goers or Just EAAs
Hey everyone from Canada and beyond! I have been a casual gym-goer for a few years, mostly focusing on general fitness and staying active. I have always seen people sipping on BCAAs during their workouts, so I picked up a tub of some flavored BCAA powder from my local supplement store here in Toronto.
I have been using it for a couple of months now, hoping for better recovery and less muscle soreness. To be honest, I am not entirely sure if I am feeling a huge difference. My muscles still get sore after a heavy leg day, eh? I have read that BCAAs might not be as effective as a full spectrum EAA supplement, especially if you are already getting enough protein from your diet.
So, for someone like me who is not a professional athlete but wants to optimize recovery, are BCAAs truly worth the cost? Or should I consider switching to an EAA supplement, or perhaps just focus on my protein intake even more? I am looking for practical advice from fellow forum members.
