I am looking for a new pair of knee sleeves and I want to know the best knee sleeves for squats in 2026. I have seen a lot of new brands coming out lately and I am not sure if the old favorites are still the best. I am in Manchester and I need something that provides great compression for my heavy leg days.

I have looked at the new offerings from Stoic and Iron Rebel as well as the classic SBDs. I want a sleeve that is durable and will not stretch out after a few months of use. I also want to know if anyone has tried the new tapered designs that are supposed to be more comfortable.

What are you all wearing for your heavy squats this year? I am looking for a top rated brand that I can rely on. If you have tried a few different brands recently please let me know which ones gave you the most support. I am ready to hit some new personal records.

SBD is still the gold standard in my book. The 2026 limited edition colourways just dropped here in the UK and they look brilliant. If you want maximum support for heavy singles, the stiff version is unmatched.

I actually switched from SBD to the newer Inzer ErgoPro sleeves recently. The compression is insane—it almost feels like a light wrap. Definitely helped my squat depth feel more secure.

Inzers are great but a total pain to get on and off. If you aren't competing in powerlifting, they might be overkill. I'd suggest looking at A7 or even the new 7mm Stoic sleeves for general heavy training.

Totally agree with AnimalLifter. I spent 10 minutes wrestling with ErgoPros in a humid gym last week and almost missed my opening set. Never again!

Any Canadians here tried the Iron Bull sleeves? They seem to be trending lately and the price point is much better than importing SBDs with the current exchange rate.

I’ve used Iron Bull. They’re decent for the money, but the stitching started fraying after 6 months of heavy use. You get what you pay for in this game.

Has anyone tried the 2026 Rehband redesign? They were the kings of the crossfit world for a decade but I feel like they've fallen behind the powerlifting-specific brands.

Still using my old Rehbands for metcons, but for a heavy squat day? No chance. Not enough pop out of the hole compared to the 7mm competition sleeves.

For the ladies, SBD sizing is much more consistent. I've tried some 'unisex' brands that are just way too wide at the calf and tight at the quad. SBD fits like a glove.

I’m 52 and my knees need the warmth more than the 'rebound' these days. I found that the 5mm sleeves are actually better for keeping the joint loose throughout a long session without cutting off circulation.

Good point @push50. I'm not looking to break world records, just trying to keep my knees from barking at me after leg day. Maybe I'll stick to a more flexible pair.

If you're between sizes, always size up for your first pair of stiff sleeves. I've seen too many people rip the neoprene trying to force a size Small onto a Large calf.

Thanks everyone! I think I'm leaning towards the SBDs. Does the stiff version really make that much of a difference for a 100kg squat?

Honestly? At 100kg, the standard SBDs are plenty. The stiff ones are really designed for people moving 200kg+ where every tiny bit of stability counts.

Don't forget to wash them! 2026 and people still have the 'gym bag stank' because they never air out their neoprene. Turn them inside out and hand wash with mild soap.

Pro tip: use cheap knee-high socks to slide the tight ones on. Works like a charm every time.

Great advice in this thread. Going to order the standard SBDs from a Canadian shop today. Cheers!
