I hate swallowing large pills and I am looking into liquid multivitamins instead. I have read that the absorption rate is much higher because the body does not have to break down a capsule or a tablet. I am a bit skeptical but I am willing to try it if it actually works better.

I am looking for a liquid brand that does not taste like old pennies. I have seen the MaryRuths brand and the Tropical Oasis ones online. I am in the US and I want something that will help with my daily energy and recovery from my HIIT sessions.

Do any of you use a liquid multivitamin? I would love to hear if you noticed a difference in how you feel compared to taking a standard pill. I am also wondering if they are safe to travel with or if they need to be refrigerated.

I have been using liquid multivitamins for about six months now and I do feel a noticeable difference in my energy levels. It is so much easier than taking a handful of pills. My current one is from a brand called "Garden of Life" and it has a decent taste. Has anyone else tried this brand? πŸ’ͺ

@LiquidLife, I have not tried that specific Garden of Life one, but I am a big fan of their brand generally. They tend to use whole food ingredients which is a huge plus for bioavailability. Good to hear you are feeling the benefits! πŸ™Œ

That is interesting, I have always stuck to tablets but the absorption argument makes a lot of sense. I get really bad pill fatigue sometimes. What sort of results are people seeing with liquid forms? Better skin, more energy, less illness? πŸ€”

@A4tech, for me it is definitely more energy and I feel like my recovery from workouts is a bit quicker. Could be placebo, but I will take it! Less illness is harder to quantify for me personally, but I do feel generally healthier. πŸš€

I am also struggling with large pills. I am looking for something with a good B-complex and Vitamin D. Any specific liquid recommendations that are not too sweet? Some of them taste like pure candy! 🀒

@PillHater, for less sweet options with good B and D, try Pure Encapsulations Liquid Multi. It is quite clean and not overly flavored. Also, MaryRuth Organics has some good options, though some of theirs can be a bit sweeter. Check their sugar-free versions. πŸ‘

@Droz, I second the MaryRuth Organics recommendation. Their raspberry flavor is actually quite pleasant and not overly cloying. It is a good choice if you are looking for something that tastes decent but is still effective. Plus, vegan friendly! 🌱

The absorption rate is definitely a key factor. Liquid forms bypass some of the digestive breakdown required for pills, making nutrients more readily available. Just make sure to check for any added sugars or artificial ingredients. ✨

I am a big believer in chelated minerals and methylated B vitamins for optimal absorption, regardless of whether it is liquid or pill form. Liquid just makes it easier to get those high-quality forms in without the hassle. It is all about the bioavailability! πŸ’―

@BioHackerJess, you hit the nail on the head! Methylated B's are a game-changer for many, especially those with MTHFR mutations. It is not just about liquid vs. pill, but the *quality* of the ingredients themselves. Good call out! πŸ‘

@Push50, absolutely. The source and form of the nutrient are paramount. Liposomal delivery systems are also becoming more popular for liquids as they offer even greater absorption for some compounds. It is a rapidly evolving market. πŸ“ˆ

When choosing a liquid multi, do not just look at the headline ingredients. Dig into the forms of each vitamin and mineral. Some forms are much better absorbed than others. Also, check for third-party testing if possible. It provides peace of mind. 🧐

My mum uses a liquid multivitamin because she has trouble swallowing pills due to a medical condition. She swears by it, says her energy levels are better than ever. For her, it is not just about absorption but practicality. She uses a brand called "Vitality Liposomal Multi-Vitamin".

I started taking a liquid multi a few months back and honestly, my nails are stronger, and my hair feels thicker. I was skeptical, but the results are there. It is a basic one from my local health food shop, nothing fancy. Sometimes simple works. πŸ’ͺ

@IronLifterGreg, that is fantastic to hear! Which brand are you using, if you do not mind sharing? I am always curious about what is working for people, especially when it is not a super hyped product. Details please! πŸ™

Are there any good liquid multivitamins that are specifically geared towards vegans? I find it hard to get all the B vitamins and iron sometimes, and I am worried about deficiencies. Any plant-based liquid recommendations? πŸ₯¦

@VeganVitamins, MaryRuth Organics is great for vegans, as Alexandoy mentioned earlier. Also, Garden of Life has several certified vegan options. Look for B12 as methylcobalamin and iron as ferrous bisglycinate for better absorption. 🌱

I always wonder about the cost comparison. Are liquid multivitamins generally more expensive than their pill counterparts? I understand the absorption benefits, but budget is a real concern for many of us. πŸ’Έ

@MuscleMage, it can be a bit of a mixed bag. Often, the upfront cost of a good quality liquid multi might be higher, but if you are getting better absorption, you might argue you are getting more for your money in terms of actual nutrient uptake. It is about value, not just price. πŸ€”

One thing to watch out for in liquid multis is the sugar content. Some brands add a lot to make them palatable, which can negate some of the health benefits, especially if you are watching your sugar intake. Always read the label! ⚠️

@GymLifeGuru, that is a massive point. I have seen some that are practically a dessert! It is a real trade-off between taste and actual nutritional value. I try to find those with natural sweeteners like stevia or monk fruit, or just accept a less pleasant taste for the benefits. πŸ’―

@AnimalLifter, exactly. If it tastes too sweet, I dilute it with water or add it to my morning protein shake. You can get creative to avoid the sugar bomb and still get the goodness. It is all about finding a routine that works for you. πŸ₯€

The taste factor is huge for me. If it tastes awful, I will not take it consistently, no matter how good the absorption. I usually mix mine into a smoothie or juice to mask any strong flavours. That helps a lot! πŸ“πŸ

This has been a really helpful thread! I am definitely leaning towards trying a liquid multi now. The improved absorption and ease of taking it are big motivators. Thanks for all the brand suggestions and warnings about sugar. Time to do some research! βœ…
