Hey team, been on creatine monohydrate for about six months now, consistently taking 5g daily. I feel great, strength is up, and no noticeable side effects. But I'm starting to wonder about the whole 'cycling' thing.

Back in the day, everyone swore you had to cycle creatine, usually 8 weeks on, 4 weeks off, to prevent your body from downregulating its natural production or to give your kidneys a break. Is that still the prevailing wisdom?

I've seen some more recent studies and anecdotes suggesting that continuous use is perfectly fine and potentially more beneficial for maintaining saturation. What's the current thinking here? Are any of you long-term, continuous creatine users? Any issues to report, or is it generally accepted now that cycling isn't strictly necessary for health or efficacy?
