How to Walk on Stage Like a Professional Bikini Competitor
I actually disagree with watching too many YouTube videos right before. It can make you start mimicking someone else’s style instead of finding what works for your own body type and personality.
That's a fair point. Authenticity usually scores higher with the judges anyway. They can tell when someone is just doing a 'copy-paste' routine.
I'm going to record myself tomorrow and post a clip if I'm brave enough. I think seeing it from the 'judge's' perspective will help me see where I'm stiff.
Good on you! Recording yourself is the single best way to improve. You'll probably be surprised at how much you're actually swaying or if your hair is covering your back definition.
Hair is a big one! Practice flipping it if it’s long, so it doesn't get caught in your suit or cover your numbers. Nothing ruins a walk like fumbling with a handful of hair mid-turn.
And make sure that suit is glued down tight! If you're worrying about a wardrobe malfunction, you aren't gonna walk with confidence.
Amen to the suit glue. Use more than you think you need.
Suit glue, Vaseline on teeth, hair flips... I'm starting to think the gym was the easy part! Thanks everyone for the amazing advice.
You've got this, Essex! Just remember to breathe. Most girls hold their breath the whole walk and look purple by the end lol.
Keep us posted on the progress. London is a great stage to debut on!
