Just a heads up to anyone buying: look for Beef ISO that specifies it is from flesh and not just hooves and hide. Some newer brands are actually using quality sources now.

I have seen those! They actually do not taste like beef water. Some of the fruit flavours are surprisingly okay. Still a bit pricey though.

I tried the orange flavoured beef protein once. It was like a flat soda. Not terrible but definitely not as creamy as a whey shake. I missed the texture.

Texture is everything. I tried mixing beef protein with oatmeal once... big mistake. It turned into a weird rubbery mess. Stick to water for beef protein folks.

Moral of the story: Whey for gains and taste beef for gut health and Paleo. Neither is a magic potion for strength. Heavy lifting is.

Agreed. I am going to finish this tub of beef protein then go back to whey. The price difference just is not worth it for me right now.

Has anyone tried the Beef and Egg blends? I have seen a few of those popping up on some US sites lately. Supposedly a more complete amino profile.

Those blends are decent! Egg protein is a gold standard for quality. Mixing it with beef fills in the leucine gaps. Still expensive but a better product overall than pure beef.

I just want something that does not give me acne. Whey breaks me out so badly. Has anyone noticed skin improvements switching to beef?

Huge difference for me SweatLovin. My back cleared up within two weeks of dropping the dairy protein. Strength stayed exactly the same so it was a win-win for me.

That is actually a common report. Dairy-induced inflammation is real for some. Glad it worked out for you Dave!
