I am about to place a massive order for protein and creatine and I am torn between MyProtein and Bulk. I have used both in the past but the prices have gone up so much in the UK lately. I am looking for the best value for my money in 2026.

MyProtein always has sales but their base prices are much higher now. Bulk seems to have improved their flavorings recently but I am not sure about the quality of their isolates. I am training for a show in Birmingham and I need to be sure I am getting what is on the label.

Which brand are you guys sticking with this year? I am also looking for a good pre workout that is not too stim heavy. If you have a preference for one over the other please tell me why!

For protein, I find MyProtein Impact Whey to be consistently good value, especially during sales. Bulk has stepped up its game in terms of flavour, but MyProtein often beats them on price per serving when you buy in bulk. For creatine, it is pretty much a commodity, so just go for whichever is cheapest for pure creatine monohydrate.

@SuppsGuru, I agree on the creatine point. It is pretty much the same everywhere. For protein, though, I think Bulk's unflavoured whey mixes better than MyProtein's. Have you tried that?

I have been a loyal Bulk customer for years. Their protein quality feels slightly superior, and their flavour range, especially for snacks, is fantastic. MyProtein can feel a bit watered down sometimes. But yes, prices are a major factor now.

Always wait for the sales! Both brands have them regularly. Sign up for their newsletters and keep an eye on discount codes. Sometimes, one will have a 50% off everything sale that makes it a no-brainer, regardless of usual price comparisons.

@ArnoldS, absolutely! I always hold out for the flash sales. The prices without discounts are getting a bit crazy these days for protein, even from these

It really boils down to checking the actual macros and ingredients. Do not just look at the price per kilo. Some brands have more fillers. Both MyProtein and Bulk are generally trustworthy, but it pays to be vigilant.

@Mecca, great advice! I always check the protein content percentage. Some

I switched from MyProtein to Bulk about six months ago, and I have found Bulk's customer service to be much better. Had an issue with a delivery and they sorted it out quickly, no fuss. That is worth a bit extra to me.

@ProteinPro, you are right. It feels like the regular prices are just placeholders for the constant sales. It is annoying if you need something urgently and there is no decent offer on.

Does anyone have strong opinions on their vegan protein options? I am trying to cut down on dairy and have found MyProtein's pea protein a bit gritty. How does Bulk compare for vegan range and texture?

@PumpChaser, I prefer Bulk's vegan protein! Their 'Vegan Protein Powder' has a better blend of sources (pea, brown rice, hemp) which gives it a smoother texture and a more complete amino profile. MyProtein's pea protein can be quite rough.

Shipping times also matter. In the UK, I find Bulk is usually a day or two quicker for delivery. If you are running low, that can make a difference. MyProtein sometimes takes longer to dispatch.

@philosopher, I have experienced that too! Bulk's standard delivery is often faster than MyProtein's premium options. It makes a difference when you are down to your last scoop.

For me, it is about consistency. I want to know what I am getting every time. Both brands are good, but I have had more variability with MyProtein batches over the years, especially with flavour and mixability. Bulk seems more consistent.

@Jayne_Scott, I have had that exact issue with MyProtein flavours. Sometimes the chocolate is spot on, other times it is really weak. Bulk seems to maintain a higher standard for their flavour profiles.

Always check for third-party lab testing results. Both brands generally provide them, but it is good practice to ensure what is on the label is actually in the pouch. Transparency builds trust.

@Zigurd, absolutely agree. It is crucial for peace of mind. I find both brands are pretty good at providing that information, but it is always worth double-checking for batches, especially with their newer products.

What about their protein bars and snacks? I find MyProtein has a wider range, but Bulk's 'Macro Munch' bars are superior in taste and texture. Any thoughts on the non-powder products?

Consider the overall brand experience. MyProtein has a more commercial, influencer-driven feel, while Bulk feels a bit more grounded and focused on the core product. This might influence where you prefer to spend your money.

@BigArvin, that is a great observation. MyProtein often feels like they are pushing trends, while Bulk sticks to what works. I appreciate Bulk's more straightforward approach; it feels more authentic.

And do not forget sustainability. Both brands are working on it, but it is worth looking into their packaging and sourcing practices if that is important to you. It is a small but growing factor in my purchasing decisions.

Ultimately, for GymRatUK, I think the best advice is to compare prices on the specific products you need for both brands on the day you plan to order. Factor in sales, shipping costs, and your personal preference for flavour/mixability. Both are solid choices, but one will usually be a better deal on any given day.
