Finally a place to talk gear! I've been eyeing the new power racks. Are they the Rogue ones or a custom build? Heard the padding on the benches is top tier too.
Cheers for the intro. I'm moving over from a budget flat-style gym in Shoreditch. Really looking forward to using some proper calibrated plates for once.
Just signed up from Toronto! Do the Elite centers carry the specialty bars? Specifically looking for a safety squat bar and maybe some decent hex bars.
They got everything, @MapleLeafFan. I visited the Dallas location and they had three different types of specialty bars. The equipment is legit brand new, still has that factory smell.
Just joined the NYC spot. The cable machines are buttery smooth. Way better than the rusty stuff at my old YMCA down the block.
@TXguy99 that's what I like to hear. Nothing worse than a gym that claims to be "Elite" but only has one rack and a bunch of broken treadmills.
Quick question for the staff or anyone who knows—is there a color-coded system for the bumpers? In the UK we usually follow IWF standards but some US gyms just do all black.
Checking in from the West Coast! @LondonLad, the ones I saw in the preview were all color-coded. Red 25kg, Blue 20kg, etc. Makes it much easier to see what people are loading up.
Totally agree! Helps avoid that awkward math when you're half-asleep during a 6am session.
Anyone know if they have the Eleiko bars? I'm a bit of a plate snob lol.
I think they use a mix of Rogue and Hammer Strength for the heavy stuff. Most of the bars are Ohio bars from what I've seen.
Ohio bars are solid. Can't complain about that. Are the platforms integrated into the racks or separate?
Integrated at the new facility here. Super clean look and feels very stable for heavy deadlifts.
Brilliant. Nothing more annoying than a platform that shifts when you drop a heavy set.
How's the cardio section? My wife won't join unless the treadmills have those fancy screens with the virtual trails.
Tell her she's in luck. They got the Peloton-style screens on the bikes and the treadmills have Netflix integration.
Netflix on a treadmill? I'd probably fall off trying to watch Stranger Things.

Has anyone tried the recovery gear yet? I saw they have those compression boots in the lounge area.
