I’ve noticed that since I stopped mirror checking, I can feel my muscles working better. Mind-muscle connection goes up when you stop relying on your eyes and start relying on your nerves.

That's a huge point! Proprioception is a real thing. You should know where your limbs are without seeing them in a mirror.

Exactly. Some of the best gyms I’ve been to in the North of England don't even HAVE mirrors in the lifting area. It forces you to listen to your body.

I wish my gym would take them down lol. But until then, I'm sticking to the hoodie and the paper logbook. Thanks for all the advice guys, feels like I'm finally training for ME and not for the mirror.
