Morning folks! I'm prepping for a half-marathon later this year, and one thing I'm still trying to nail down is my pre-long run nutrition. I usually try a banana and some toast, but sometimes it just doesn't sit right, or I feel a bit sluggish part-way through my longer training runs. It's a real hit or miss.

I'm looking for some tried-and-true recommendations for what you guys eat before heading out for a serious endurance session. Something that's easy to digest, gives sustained energy, and ideally doesn't require a lot of prep. I've heard some people swear by oatmeal, others by energy gels, but what's practical for a regular weekend warrior?

Any specific brands or recipes you'd recommend? How long before your run do you eat? And do you adjust for different distances? Would love to get some variety in my routine and find something that consistently works well.
